THE CITY THAT WATER BUILT

Learn about the history of the springs and the ‘healing water’ story of the founding of Eureka Springs.

Ozarka Spring Water Company officially began in 1905 but as early as 1856 Dr. Alvah Jackson was bottling the ‘healing’ water from the springs as “Dr. Jackson’s Eye Water” .  And long before that, the Native Americans had known and used the power of the springs and considered it to be sacred ground.
